I'll be the last person to stand up for the Glasers, I don't like them or the way they do business. I hope and pray that they do sell the team because of what appears the Man U drain on their resources. That being said be aware that it is very difficult to sue for libel/slander in the U.K. The burden of proof is much higher. Another aspect is that if you sue and lose, you pay for the expenses for both sides. It is one of the reasons the press over there is running amok and gets away with saying just about anything that fits their agenda for a given story.

Reply with quote | #3 | What you say is true in general Brewmaster.
But that video documentary on the Glazers was done by the best investigators on primetime British tv.
The Tonight show is not known for being unfair and biased they always put a high level of research into everything they do.
In the UK Trevor Mcdonald is one of the most respected news men similer to the way Walter Cronkite was thought of.

I have no way of knowing if anything in that piece is true. There may even be a bit of fact scattered about here and there for all I know. I'm no firend of the Glasers as I said. I will also say I have very little faith in our media anymore and anything coming from the UK regardless of the source, I have even less faith in. Oh, BTW, I have zero faith in Wikipedia. The info there can be written by anyone and is arguably the biggest repository of hearsay to be found on the net.
