And like Duemig said yesterday, others have done far worse and no action was taken. The NFL needs to come up with some kind of system to deal with these issues. Not just one guy picking and choosing who gets suspended/fined and who doesn\'t.

Myron Lewis is going to have to play the nickel and Biggers is going to have a big task covering Massoqui against the Browns.

Another bad start to the season for the secondary, at least it\'s only one game.

On yesterday’s Rays vs. Jays game on the RADIO, did anyone else notice that at the fifth inning twice Andy Freed mentioned a Hall of Fame player while a Jays players was up to bat. When the first batter at the top of the 5th inning (T. Snider), was up to bat – more or less under his breath – Andy Freed whispered / mumbled Babe Ruth instead of Snider’s name during his at-bat. I know it sounds totally crazy, and I convinced myself that I was hearing things but then when the next batter was up (J. McDonald), again Freed mentioned (under his breath) a past Hall of Famer; this time it was Henry Aaron instead of McDonald halfway through his at-bat. Strange, huh?

I swear that I was not hearing things and I’m sure I heard Babe Ruth and Henry Aaron’s name was used in place of the actual Blue Jays hitters. And I’m pretty sure I was not subconsciously hearing these names. I was also getting a perfectly clear radio signal during the two innings that I listened on the radio. It was really weird and I’m just wondering if anyone else noticed/heard the same thing?  Has Freed done this in the past? Was Freed thinking about these Hall of Fame players when play-by-playing and just accidently said this?

I pretty much agree with him.

Then.....he goes on to say that the only reason ESPN kept bringing it up was because Carl Crawford described the attendance as "depressing" and "disappointing"  - - which he did in response to a direct question.  I guess Duemig didn\'t approve because in classic Duemig fashion, he screamed at the top of his lungs, "YOU SHUT THE EFF UP!!  AND DON\'T LET THE DOOR HIT YOU ON THE WAY OUT IF YOU DON\'T LIKE IT"

That is ridiculous.  What a dope.

I\'m in favor of the expanded season, if it\'s done right.

I\'m also not in favor of reducing the Preseason to less than 3 games per year. I think there are already far too many football players coming out of college that never get a fair chance as it is, and cutting the preseason in half makes it almost impossible for undrafted Free Agents to get on teams.

All of that said, here is how I would expand the season:

Those are my thoughts. I, for one, would love a longer season. The off season is far too long as it is.

That is the dillema the Bucs face with keeping Michael Clayton(God forbid), because if the guy stays he will be placed in the #5 spot as a receiver and will play special teams primarily. So the question is is it better to pay a fifth receiver/special teams guy 3 million or just release him and cut your losses, and will Clayton be happy with that role here?

I am picking 6th out of 10 and I\'m looking at either Michael Turner or Frank Gore with that pick.

Two of our biggest weaknesses have been replaced.
1. Sean Jones is replacing Sabby at SS.
2. Vincent is replacing Zuttah at OG.

Yet to be seen but
The rookie DTs will struggle I am sure, but considering we were dead last against the run and had a combined 1.5 sacks from our starting DTs last year
I think it\'s safe to say they will be better this year.  Roy Miller has a year under his belt.

EJ Biggers/Myron Lewis.
Mack and Roberson (and Sabby) got burned on a consistant basis last year.
The coaches are raving about Biggers and he has looked GREAT in preseason, but it\'s preseason. Biggers will be the nickel. Myron Lewis will take some time
but, he is a big physical CB and has played well in camp when he hasn\'t been injured.

Kareem Huggins
He is the X factor. He has to prove it on the field, but from camp/preseason he looks really impressive. Ward has been a huge FA bust for us, Huggins is a change of pace back something this team hasn\'t had since Warrick Dunn. We shall see...

Mike Williams/Sammie
I just think, 55 receptions and 5 TDs from our starting WR duo last year. That SUCKS! lol
From all accounts M. Williams looks like a star in the making. (Hard to fathom for most) He will struggle I am sure, have some drops, but he will also have big plays. I am marking him down for 55R/5TDs at the least for him right now.
Sammie also has looked really good in camp/preseason, with a year under his belt I expect his totals from last year to double.

As far as the rookies, I\'m not banking on them being pro bowl ready right now, just better then what we had last year.

There was a thread started by one of the moderators a month or so ago about How the Buc\'s were competitive in 2009. It made some really good points.

6 of the 8 Divison games were very competitive, close scores.
Whether you hate the coaching staff or love them a year of stability is huge for this young team.
Going from the 2nd rated toughest schedule to the 20th something rated schedule.
